Placemaking Weekend India 2026, Co-Hosted by The Urban Vision in Goa, brought together leaders, practitioners and communities to explore how placemaking can drive regenerative tourism. Through immersive walks, local storytelling, public space dialogues and co-creation workshops, participants examined how tourism can strengthen communities, celebrate local identity and enhance public spaces. The event reaffirmed that the future of tourism lies in creating better places to live first, where tourism becomes a catalyst for healthier, more resilient and inclusive destinations.
