Abhay Pethe, is an Economist & is the Vibhooti Shukla Chair of Urban Economics and Regional Development at Mumbai University. He also holds several prestigious posts with the government and is recognized for his work in primary data collection and grassroots issues in rural and urban India for International Institute of Population Studies (Deonar) and Society for Development Studies (New Delhi)
