The social business plan competition is designed to encourage social enterprises to develop business solutions to alleviate the city’s acute social and environmental problems. The Social Venture Challenge is being launched by the Centre for Social Enterprise & Leadership at SP Jain institute of Management & Research, Mumbai & is supported by The Urban Vision.

Young Urban Leaders:
The program was conceived by The Urban Vision, a think-do-tank focussed on the future of cities to stir the next generation of civic leaders in India. The program promotes solution driven insights and ideas to address pressing urban challenges of India and offers a platform for young leaders (under 30 ) to work with and learn from the most progressive cities of the world. The winner of this program will have an opportunity to intern in the Metro Government Office of one of the world’s Greenest Cities Portland, Oregon, USA in Feb 2011.
